"It is dull enough to confuse the eye in following, pronounced enough to constantly irritate and provoke study, and when you follow the lame uncertain curves for a little distance they suddenly commit suicide- plunge off at outrageous angles, destroy themselves in unheard of contradictions".
"It is dull enough to confuse the eye in following",can see you see what she is trying to describe to you in this paper? Can you see that it does not matter how you look at it or for how long you stared at the paper, you always would get confuse and lost yourself on it?
"Pronounced enough to constantly irritate and provoke study", this yellow wall-paper is so horrible that by just pronouncing the word makes her feel worst than the way she was... Constantly? meaning that every single time, morning or night or even any hour of the day, whenever she looks at the yellow wall-paper, it's like looking a monster; and not only makes her look at it but to study every part of it.
"And whenever you follow the lame uncertain curves for a little distance they suddenly commit suicide", don't you ever try to follow the lines of this paper, not even from a distance, because if you do so you are going to get lost and the only thing that would come to your mind is to kill yourself.
"Plunge off at outrageous angles, destroy themselves in unheard of contradictions", the paint itself is like killing every feeling inside her. Not one or another but all of them at the same time. You can tell that by the way she is expressing herself and the fact that she has too much to say about the yellow wall-paper. But she never finds a single good thing on it. She can make any comparison with the paper but a good one
,instead of, she gives the worst definition to that paper and just
because she does not like the idea of it. Sometimes, she feels like even though there are many beautiful things to look at, inside and outside
of the house, as the the amazing garden with some colorful flowers that
she is able to see throughout the window, she feels stuck in the room with that ugly and horrible yellow wall-paper.
